Power and energy of the human body are characteristics I identify my work with. I am experimenting with different materials and contradictions to express my thoughts.
My artworks evolve during the making process. In the end the sculptures become autonomous objects.
I started following art lessons at the Academy of Art Artibus Utrecht in The Netherlands. Meanwhile making art I had a career being a physiotherapist, hence my interest in the human body. Later, I studied at the Academy of Fine Arts at Arendonk in Belgium where I researched and learned about proportions, form construction, materials and technology. Furthermore, I studied one year Philosophy at Radboud University in Nijmegen.
